Based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, engineers have the highest average starting salary at $91,010. In addition to high starting salaries, studies show that the more education an engineer is able to obtain, the higher their salary. However, engineers need to be constant learners in order to stay current. Because they work in an environment where technology is constantly evolving, engineers are required to continually gain new skills to advance in their careers and produce their best work.
